I'll start. Ive been into RC cars for about 10 years. Sorry about some of the crappy pics:o

My first car Traxxas Rustler
http://i250.photobucket.com/albums/gg242/cutrat/RCCars031.jpg

Second would be my Nitro Rustler. Ive had this car for about 3 years and i'm in the process of converting the whole thing over to carbon fiber and aluminum:drool:

Mmm, carbon fiber.....
http://i250.photobucket.com/albums/gg242/cutrat/RCCars039.jpg

Third is My Schumacher Fusion pro2.8. This car outta the box will top 80MPH. My next hop up's will be a RB Innovation supercharger and nitrous:evil: It comes with a three speed tranny and it's also all wheel drive.

And last would be the new truggy I just got my son. It's a Trinity Now brushless http://i250.photobucket.com/albums/gg242/cutrat/RCCars030.jpg

Last would be where I work on them, in the man cave.

Wow. Schumacher. I was actually wondering if he was still around.

I started in it 20 years ago, lol when I was 9 or so. I remember the day my brother and I put our 1st deposit down on our Taymia Grasshopper. :D

I also recall when my brother bought the original RC-10. I'm talking narrow track and the gold anodized chassis. :D

We raced a bit growing up, and I still have my "classic" LXT at my parents house. My last R/C car was a XX Losi Buggy. Ah the good old days.

I had a Tamiya Hornet (still have it actually) back when the "Super Champ" was the car to have. The next year was when the RC-10 came out and crushed everything else, but I couldn't afford it and got out of RC shortly thereafter. I had a blast with that Hornet though, except for the stupid wing which broke off the first time you rolled it :D

Had a bunch of different things when I was a kid. I had several of the cheaper RC cars and buggies that were pretty fun. I had a 2-ch Nikko plane that absolutely sucked. Then I built a 3-ch glider when I was in my young teens, and I totaled it on my first try.

Kinda got out of RC after that but I was cleaning the basement a few years ago and I found one of my cheap buggies. I bought a new battery for it and I drove that thing into the ground, actually I drove it into water and it didn?t work anymore :(

When I killed that one I bought an RC10GT. It was fun and fast but I could only keep it running about 5 minutes before something broke on it. I think I only ran about a gallon of nitro through it.:( It?s in the basement somewhere, still needing a few new parts.

After that fiasco I bought an E-Maxx and I love it.

Got into the Aero Ace planes and that turned my interest back to planes. I stepped up to a 3-ch SkyFly and then a 4-ch Mustang.

Pics may follow if I get around to dragging my stuff out and taking some.

Oh, and I work on mine all over the place. Sometimes in the garage, sometimes on the kitchen table, sometimes on the floor, it?s just wherever I start working.

Thats right when I started into R/C too. We had a local track in town and my brother and I would race a few times a week. I remember the RC-10 being the revolutionary thing that changed the industry.

I remember all those cars. My buddy had the Hornet, which was a uber'ed up hopper, you got the oil shocks plus the better tire wheel combo and the cool wing. :D

I had a Blackfoot too, which was another incarnation of that set up derived from the Frog I believe.

I wish I still had the Blackfoot, mine ended up being pretty tricked out after a while. I eventually had a dogbone conversion, aluminum chassis, oil shocks, and a buncha other stuff including the grave digger body w./ the glowing red eyes.

I was into it for a few years and raced buggies and trucks mostly. Mainly when the 1st LXT and RC10T hit the market.

We use to have quite the street battles in the neighbor hood too. My brother and I would set the stadium trucks and buggies in slicks and we would have an auto cross course set up. We used the bank and police station parking lots. :D

There was a good showing alot of nights including a Kyosho Ferrari, Team Associated Road Cars (which in that day didn't have the suspension to hang on anything but a manicured surface), Buggies like the RC10, and a couple from Losi that the name escapes me. One of my buddies had a Schumacher Cat that was awesome. Good times for sure.

I still have my LXT, over the years I had an RC-10 World Car, XXT, Grasshopper, Blackfoot, A Double Trouble, which was a smaller version of the USA-1, and an associated stock car that I could never do anything with. :D

That's funny, I went through my car phase back in the day too, and now have caught the bug again w./ the planes. They are so much more hard core then then cars for sure. I could see myself getting another car too. There is so much new cool stuff out there.

Since this is a pic thread, here are a couple of my gas p-51.

Still need to decorate it a bit and add the engine details for the Merlin engine. :D I'm thinking it needs a pin up girl on the cowl.

Sorry for the long post but you asked.:D

Flew RC planes from about 85 until 99 or so. Totaled 3 nice planes in a month & just had to quit. That's about the time I started lifting my 5.9 & wheeling more so the money was going to it insted too.:D

Last winter I bought a Heli Havoc & that's all it took. I'm mow full blow into RC again but this time Helis. I did buy a couple of planes at the end of the summer though so I be flying them more this spring too.

Right now I have 2 450 sized(24" rotor) electric Helis. One is a Trex V2 that I have not flown yet & the other is a Trex clone called the CL450.

2 180 sized(13" rotor) electric helis. One is a Walkera 64#c that has to be converted to brushless to really be flyable & a Gaui EP100 Pro. It's really nice.

2 coaxial Walkera 5#6's. 8" rotors.

Also I have a coaxial Efite Blade CX2. 13.5" rotors.
All the Helis have aluminum cases too.

The new planes are a ParkZone 27c with an upgraded motor, Kyosho EP ducted fan F-16 & a little 3 ch. ParkZone/kyosho Cessna 210. It's only 18grams & has a wing span of 15"

Most of the Helis are controled by a 2.4gz Spektrum DX7 Heli TX. I can fly the larger planes with it too. The Cessna is controled by it's own little 2.4 gz TX too.

I have some Vids of most of them along with 2 planes. One is an On Board Vid with the PZ Stryker.

I would love to see that CL450 in action. By the pictures it looks like you fly out of the Chatfield airpark? Next time your out, gimme a call or PM. I'm just down the street in Roxborough and would like to come down and watch you fly those (i'm thinking I need another type of RC to mess with....).

How about a picture from an rc conveyance, not of the plane itself:
http://img246.imageshack.us/img246/4633/pict0025zp6.jpg
This was taken from a heavily modified GWS Slow Stick a while back. It ended up with a wireless transmitter and a downlink/ viewing station on the ground, flying from a monitor with an occasional glance skyward to verify position. All with a spotter of course. Ultimately I decided I just needed to be up there for real and got my Private Pilot cert. Be careful with rc, it can lead to real cash outlay as I found out!

This is my Wheely King crawler. It is a little different now, and I'm still tinkering with the shocks. It has a Novak Goat brushless motor/ESC, Futaba controller, rear-steer, aluminum inner and outer c's, RCP CVD's, t-maxx driveshafts, associated shocks/coils, on a Visionary Fabrication chassis. Soon to have some narrowed wheels and different rubber.

I need to get some pics of my junk. Here's the list though, All dating back to when I first got into RC as a kid....

#1. Mauri Galaxy RS Buggy. At the time most were into Grasshoppers and Hornets I had the Galaxy. It came with oil filled shocks, fully independent suspension and a roll cage. I burned through set after set of tires on it and whooped up on my Buddy's Nikko (grasshopper like) buggy. It got curb jumped so much I had to replace the main chassis once as I gound out the mounts for the front LCA's. The gears were fun too. All those rev-to-fwd Rockford manuvers killed one set of gears and a set of potmetal u-joints. After all that thrashing, finding mauri parts sucked so I threw a 55 Chevy body on it and took it easy on it.

#2 Monster Beetle. Now I could thrash at will and boy did I. I wiped out more dogbones than I care to remember. I Upgraded to Thorp Ball diff, but cheaped out and kept the hex drive dog bones. I ended up laying the thorp to waste with a mod motor and ended up locking it solid. The Beetle Body was top heavy so I Settled on a 57 Chevy truck body.

#3 Subaru Brat (Frog). Dad found this one at a garage sale cheap. I didn't mod this one much except to add body mounts to fit the 57 Chevy body painted like my Dad's 1:1 57. (see any theme's here?)

#4 Tamyia Road Wizard. My buddy got one, so I needed one. Compared to my off road stuff this thing was a rocket. Too bad the speed control that was unique to the wizard was handy for lighting the fire to the rocket. Finicky, delicate and fast. The two bodies got painted indycar style. Rick Mears Pennzoil and Al Unser Jr. Valvoline. It was my first taste of on-road speed.

#5 Bolink Eliminator 10. This was the speed king on my block. First of my cars with an ESC. Used a 1990 Pontiac Grand Prix Stock car body painted up like Rusty Wallace's First Miller GD Car (#27). I could play with gearing and put down some extremely fast times on my 1:10 scale dragstrip on our street (132 ft). I could run it up to around 40 mph geared up. Fun Car but $$$$. For Fun I added longer body posts to run a 56 Chevy Nomad body.

#6 Parma Street Truck. I bought this with the single purpose to make a pro-street style drag car. Mod Motor, ESC, Fat tires from Parma's hemi street rod kit and fronts from my road wizard. It's wrapped up in a 3 tone custom painted 55 Chevy Nomad Body. Fast, but only on a prepped surface. Otherwise with any dust it's nothing more than a doughnut monster. I never did even paint the truck body.

#7 Super Blackfoot. Got this one off a buddy for cheap in college. Added Associated gold shocks all around. Tekin micro rx and esc. Losi mod motor. It jumps and lands SOOO much better than the Beetle. No more hex drives or rear trailering arms falling out. Just stable solid jumping. New mods include a cut down CRP frog front bumper and an aluminum front shock tower is in the works. Currently running the 57 truck body from the beetle, but will be getting a pro-line 1980 Chevy truck soon!

#8 1:18 Nylint Crawlers. (2) One's mine and the other is my sons. Flipped arms and extended on mine. Ditched the jeep body for a Proline 1980 Blazer. Need to finish paint. 1:10 scale body on a 1:18 chassis required a serious WB stretch, but the width is right on and the claw's look spot on for at least scale 33's if not 35's. These got me back into RC from when I dropped it in College.

#9 Traxxas Bandit. Son's first real RC. I need to get some new rear carriers to install larger bearings and a bearings for the front, but I don't think we will mod it right now. It's more than enough for him to handle right now. He needs to clean it after Saturday's bash session. He found mud.

Work area seems to be anywhere in the basement, but I've got an unused desk that once it's cleared out will be perfect for RC duty.
