Gotten a Concealed Carry Permit in CA?? I ask because im going to be moving back there in a few months and me being without a gun is like going out naked! Ive looking into it a little bit and come to find out, if your a business owner/or employee and carry large amounts of cash or other valuables on your person, you are entitled to one as long as you can pass their course and fall within the rights to carry. My fiances dad owns a tile and flooring company and told me hes more than willing to hire me on till i find steady work out there. It would require me to do a bit of traveling and have cash in hand from the days jobs. Im hoping between that, my military\firearms training background, being buddy buddy with a cop(good reference IMO) out there and having a Wyoming permit will help my chances. Just wondering if anyone has successfully gotten one and what kind of hoops you had to jump through.

Ask Dianne Feinstein. Last I heard she had one.

I have heard it is almost impossible for a normal law abiding citizen to get one. Now if you are rich, a celebrity, or a politician it is easy.
Try Glocktalk or ar15.com in the Cali sections for info.

Missouri was like this before they got their CCW law. Basically, the local sheriff had to decide it was OK. So, you had to have influence with the local law, through the aforementioned avenues of money, fame, political clout, etc. As far as I know, no one ever got one on a "need" basis.
Good luck with it, but I doubt you'll have any success. My personal opinion.

Unless you lived in Howell County a couple of years ago. Then the sheriff was making a point to make the process as easy as possible. Basically a Clean background check and a mil ID/fire arms course would get you a CCW.

Yeah, SUPPOSEDLY SoCal was WAY easier than NorCal, but I've *never* actually heard of anyone who had one (besides celebrities and politicians), and this recently came up on another, less local forum.

So Cal outside of L.A., Orange & San Diego Cty's it's doable. If your planning to live in any of those, your shit out of luck. This is from personal experience.
