Now that we've had some time to try out this off-topic stuff, what are your thoughts on merging the two motorcycle forums?

Yes. For reasons I posted in the other forum.

2 wheels are 2 wheels. Different riding perspectives and opinions would be a good thing.

I'm good with merging them. I read both forums so it'd just make it easier to have it all in one place.

I wish more "bikers" had that mentality.
A few months ago i was riding to Ft Collins and a group of about 6 or 7 harleys passed me on the 25. I was already crusing along 80-85 so its not like i was the slow person on the road. They came hauling ass passed me(relatively speaking for a harley :flipoff2: ), everyone of them giving me the finger. Are they mad cuz my crotch rocket handles better, rides smoother, is faster, gets better mileage and costs half as much as their leaky, stinky, rattle traps??? I blew it off, mumbled an "F you" in my helmet and kept on...
I saw them about 4 miles down the highway, one of them broke down so i gave them the same california howdy and a :tisk: as i went by at about 30 MPH with a little "haha" horn honk, romped on it and i was gone like the wind...would have gladly stopped and helped out if it werent for their little earlier escapade.
Im about as friendly of a rider as they come...i dont care if you ride a indian or a 'busa, ill always show courtesy or help a fellow rider out...but shit like that is just plain uncalled for and stupid.

beats me. Sounds like a bunch yuppies, they dont have any respect for other riders, its like they all wave or flip ya off. Most old school guys will do niether, but are more likely to stop and help a fella broke down on the side of the road, no matter what hes riding, unless of course he is all decked out in pink leathers etc, then he is on his own from everyone lol.

When I broke down on 225 last spring on my Ninja of the 5 folks who stopped to offer help...all of them were Harley riders. THe sport bike idiots all just looked and kept going.
I will pull over, on the bike or in the truck and see if a biker needs help no matter what they ride. But I do tire of the asses on the Hawgs who flip me off when I wave....oh well, I no longer wave unless waved at.
I just ride n stuff

There's a custom bike shop on the left as you come into Lyons. I developed a leak in the rear tire of my GSX-R so I rolled in there next to all the custom bikes and they were happy to air it up for me  A quick test ride down the road proved the leak was too quick to make it home, so I had to come back for it, but I was happy for the air.

I didn't have anyone stop and help when my Duc quit on me but, I was in Highlands Ranch at the time. I had a Harley die in front of my house in the canyon one day. I loaded her and her bike up in the truck and gave her a ride back out to Pine. She was quite happy, as was her boyfriend she lived with. They turned out to be cool people and offered me a beer as well as showed me all the drag cars they had
