I have another massive sinus infection. 2nd one in two months. Its due to allergies. I've tried to blame the dogs, but I don't think that is it. I think its something in this house. I've had the vents cleaned, sanitized, new filters on the furnace and over each vent. I can't figure it out, other than its one of the plants, or its mold on the dry wall????

SO, how do I check for mold on the dry wall? Over the summer the trap off the bottom of the tub broke and water leaked down the wall of the garage. Camp & I fixed the plumbing problem, but I didn't even think about there being a potential mold issue resulting from the water that ran down the sheet rock.
Do I just drill a hole in the wall and use a mirror and flash light to look?

Yes you can to visually look for the mold. But if the water source has been eliminated it should not be growing anymore. Even if it is not growing there still could be a problem. Also if it is in the walls it shouldn't be coming out much since there shouldn't be airflow through the walls. You might not see much with a flashlight and mirror unless you cut a pretty big hole. We use a camera.

You can have air samples collected but it isn't cheap. Samples are collected both inside and outside of the house both in the morning and in the afternoon and the results are compared to each other to see if there is an amplification of type or quantity in the house.

BTW mold issues is one of the things I do for a living.

My fiance had a MAJOR issue with chronic sinus infections and turned out the cause was the shower. She would get one it seemed like once a month...as soon as she got completely over it, it would come back. There would always be bath toys in there from her son and she didnt realize that over time, mold would grow on them from the moisture and when she fired up the shower and the steam got to working, it would carry it right to her sinus's. She started sanitizing the toys and tub on a regular basis and keeping them out of the shower when she was in it and hasnt had an infection in almost a year.
