 T1 and T2 were awesome, T3 started to go down hill except for Kristana Loken, and now a TV mini-series?

Should've stopped with T2. They're just squeezing every last drop of juice out of something that was cool. Just ruining it now if you ask me.

BTW- T3 sucked the big one.

CannonBall

I hate T3 because it renders T2 useless. T2 was supposed to stop judgement day and they just wrote it off as like "fate being inevitable" so the entire terminator movie series was irrelevant. What happened to "no fate but what we make for ourselves." Nope, no control over that, judgement day happens anyway.

Loved T2, hated T3, if the miniseries is worth watching I might get it on DVD.

Dont they just ignore T3 on the miniseries like it didnt happen?

Isn't the miniseries supposed to tell the story of the years between T1 and T2? That is what I thought I read about it, a while back. If so, T3 doesn't even matter to the miniseries, because it wouldn't have happened yet. The Sarah Connor Chronicles is more like a T1.5.

I thought it was the story of her raising John. Guess that could have been after 1 or after 2. Either way, 3 wouldn't matter. The actress sure doesn't look old enough to be the mom of a teenager, but I guess they had to make her sexy.Too bad they couldn't get Linda Hamilton back.

I will not overthink the past that has yet to occur, nor the future that happened 10 years ago before I consider the judgement day that was supposed to happy in 1997 but instead happened in 2005 before it happened again later on, only for john connor the fetus child man to lead us to quato on mars, where john matrix destroys a nuclear warhead in the florida keys after battling a foreign alien in the jungle? Shoulda stopped at T1. Arnold was much better as the bad guy, instead of some tool that's bossed around by a kid as a play thing. Ugh. Speaking of movies that should have stopped at the first one, same goes for Highlander.

CannonBall

I completely disagree, I think T2 was superior to T1 on several levels. Acting, Special FX, plot, action sequences, and character development to name a few. I actually think T2 rates up there really high against all movies, not just Sci-Fi, whereas T1 has the feel of a cheesy 80's sci-fi action flick and not much more. When I think of T1 I just keep going back to the abysmal stop motion animation of the terminator after the skin is burned off at the end. *groan*

Just more proof that there's not an original thinker left in Hollywood.

I can almost hear the writer/producer's pitch meeting now: "Okay, so here's an idea: 'G2: Gilligan Day. Gilligan and the crew get off the island just in time to witness the apocalypse. Then they get chased around by killer cyborg robots. Make sure we include a few hawt chicks in torn T-shirts, and if they happen to be 90 pound ballerinas who totally kick ass, so much the better."

Oh, yeah, there has to be the mandatory Evil Government Conspiracy to build killer cyborg ballerinas to take over the world. And a plucky resistance movement led by a hawt chick.

Boy, there was a movie that got beat to death. I loved the movie, could not watch the series.

This is just just another Young Indiana Jones. You want to watch but just can't get into it.

I was curious about the cast so I looked it up on IMDB. The lady that is playing Sara Connor (Leana Headey) isn't "that" young. Says she was born in 73, which would make her 35. Possible to have a tennager. Although Linda Hamilton was 28 when she made T1, so I guess that doesn't work. Then again, I am reading way too much into this.

In any case, T2 is still one of my favorite movies, and T3 was a disgrace. There was a whole fiasco with that one. Arnold had signed on thinking Cameron was going to do it, but then Cameron didn't and Arnold was locked in.

T1 and T2 were awesome T3 not so much doubt the show will last long. The only good SCI-Fi movie TV show combos were Firefly, Stargate, and Babylon 5 if you count the made for TV movies.

My god are they that short on action stars that they're having to trawl the AARP meetings now?

Thought it was pretty decent, although a little hokey at times. Like the afore mentioned hiding behind a chair. And where John was running through the parking lot & the robot couldn't hit him worth beans. One shot went into a car trunk at an angle that it should have come out & taken the top of John's head with it. Also in the end the 3 of them showing up on a highway naked. Pretty sure most teens would not have been as calm as John was showing up on a highway naked with his mom being naked & a hot girl (although a robot) naked also. Then the girl beating up 3 drunk guys while still naked. Since she is the protector I know she could do it just seemed weird lol. At any rate they lost a few points with me when they blew up my truck about 10 min into the show. If they had to sacrifice the truck they could of at least killed the bad guy with it. Glad they didn't hurt the Mach 1 he was driving right before he died.

It was decent, had plenty of action so it will be interesting to see how it unfolds or if it will get hokier.

Still waiting for that Gilligan's Island remake.

With Chris Rock as Gilligan and Tom Arnold as the Skipper. Tom Hanks as the Professor, Beyonce as Ginger, Jennifer Lopez as Ana Maria (i.e. Mary Anne.) Thurston Howell will be played by Harvey Fierstein and Nathan Lane will be his "Life partner", called "Lovey."

Remember, you heard it here first! :D

C'mon, dude, the first rule of recycling old TV shows is that you have to start changing the race and/or gender of some of the principal characters.

Johnny Knoxville would be good as a crazy guy they find on the island. Or maybe a villain? Depends on whether Gary Oldman is available or not.

Have to give this one some thought....:P

That was definitely a 12th hour script catch where the lighting boy tapped the director on the shoulder and pointed out the error.

The other thing that cracked me up was before the girlie bot made herself known to be a terminator she actually had some depth in character. The moment she was like, "Hey all, look how bloody I am", she turned into a mindless zombie for the rest of the show. I always wondered what happened to that "Small Wonders" show from the 80's?!

Didn't realize she was the small wonder girl. Scary, but it's also amazing what a few years will do!

I would think having a hot teenager terminator around would be really confusing/frustrating for a teen male, or maybe educational, depending on how you look at it. ;)

On another note, for all the advanced targeting systems the terminators has, that guy couldn't hit $hit!

I watched it...typical mini-series type show and obviously is not on a hollywood blockbuster budget, but it looks fairly promising to continue the story.

Im basing all of this on the fact that im blocking out all of T3's events...
