Looking at getting a new phone, and I really like the idea of the enV - anyone here have one? What do you think of it?

My best friend has one (orange) and LOVES it. She's a cell phone geek too- gets a new one every 8 months or so. She texts frequently so the full qwerty keyboard is one of her favorite features.
I'm thinking of getting one myself, but I'm still drooling over the Voyager.

Its a good phone but like MOST verizon phones, its crippled with their junk proprietary operating system which really limits what you can do with it.
They really need to put Windows mobile on all their smart phones...

X2. I do love the new XV6800 I got a couple weeks ago. Nice phone, WM6 is excellent, and verizon has kept their hands off for the most part. Did you see Verizon is adopting the any device/any platform stance before too long? gonna be interesting...

While I don't really need a full on smart phone with email & web browsing, I can see how running Windows Mobile would be nice as far as loading various apps. I suppose customizing the OS on the proprietary Verizon stuff is a no-go, huh?
The AT&T 8525 PDA phone looks nice, and is only about $40 more than the enV. Can't quite figure out what the difference is between the 8525 & the Tilt though...

Yeah - killed another one Sunday night. Drunken debauchery + concrete garage floor = dead phone. :(

My daughter has one and loves it. I fiddled with it for a while the other day, and it will likely be my next one unless something better comes out (and no, the iPhone is not something better, even if Verizon will support it). Looks like some other interesting ones coming out soon from what I have seen on the tech shows on tv.

Actually, it's her fault that I want one! This might sound bad, but your sister showed me hers at Halloween, and well, the rest is history! :flipoff2:

Thats alright if my 37's are gone...I thought the Frozen Burrito Guy looked a little cold yesterday when he came by with the ringing cart...and I happened to have a blue CJ7 in my garage...so I offered it to him ONLY if he promised to bring it back...
My spanish isn't so great so either he agreed to to bring it back all white and shiny...or he called me a crazy ass cracker...I"m not sure which it was. :flipoff2:

Well, went out this weekend phone shopping. Talked to AT&T, but they wanted all sorts of fees for upgrading, and the phones they had were few, but more functionality than what I needed.
Went over to Verizon, and got more hands-on time with the enV. We ended up picking up three of them - even got the mother-in-law in on the action.
We be textin' fools now! :D

As much crap as I give you for texting more than teens...it was awful handy on the way to Kansas in the 40...when you couldn't hear over the most annoying sound in the world...
