Been passing this windmill forever. Finally today the lighting was just right for how I wanted to use it. Of course, I had taken the tripod out of the car recently. Damn damn damn. Thanks goodness for the IS.

Then I applied the watercolor filter to it (just for you Joker):

And then I had to change the angle, which significantly changed the mood (well, the lighting changed while I was relocating, which didn't hurt either).

I like the Second shot better. The first shot makes me think " A twister is coming", and the second shot makes me think "A new day is dawning"!

Great pics!

i need to get some time and get out and do some shootingwith my camera too. Been busy working Avon with Nyqyi. It's really our only source of income along with my unemployment. But I also preffer to shoot spring and summer stuff. There was a decent sunset tonight though but didnt have the camera with me plus I don't have a tri-pod yet either. I have the same camera as Chester and IS is great feature. I'm still learning the basics of my camera too and how to do manual settings and what everything does. I need one of those photography for dummies.

Hey Brad, lurk here and you'll learn LOTS of new things about your camera. If you EVER have a question post it there and you'll have your answer within 30 minutes or less. No matter the time of day. Lots of cool photos that people shoot with their Oly cameras. Most are E3s or 510s.

Good luck with your 510! Hope you're lovin it!
