Their comparing a $3000 consumer digital SLR or a $35000 Medium format digital camera...
There is no comparison.... :shrug:
Although, the D2x is still a FAR superior camera in terms of usability and versatility. The Hasselblad is about worthless for anything but portraits or static landscapes.

That makes me think about my dad's, now mine, hasso that's sitting in the garage in a bin :( Anybody have a hasso digital back that will not break the bank?

How long do you guys thing it will take for us to just drop buy a circuit city & buy a Gigapixel camera.
Taking odds & bets now.:D
In 7 years we've gone from under 1 mega pixel to right about 10 mp.

As stated elsewhere, the pixel counts are becoming less significant. After reading The HDRI Handbook (http://www.onedayonepicture.com/2008/01/08/the-hdri-handbook-reviewed/), the next "big thing" is going to be radical improvements in Dynamic Range (basically the range of exposure values that you can capture in one image) and also the release of consumer grade HDRI display devices to really take advantage of the medium. Several products are in testing now and should hit the consumer pipeline relatively soon. CES over the next couple of years will be a way cool place to be.
