Hey I just put an A piller 3 guage set up in my ford, all works well except the boost, it rises steady till about 10 and then bounces its way up to 15, It doesn't seem to climb any higher than 15. Please tell me it is not a kinked(sp) line, because that was a pain in the butt to rout, and I was extremly carefull, by the was it is a auto-meter pro comp...thanks

Sounds liked it could be kinked to me. Some people have the bouncing boost gauge problem because they put a tee in line with a vacuum line (I don't know where the tee is to be placed) to read there boost, instead of drilling and tapping their intake elbow (like I did). Mine may be a bit different because mine is a 6.0, but I think that you still have elbow. I have the auto meter gauges too. That poly tube they give you is a real PITA to route, I hope you don't have to redo it.

Well I did use a T that came with the kit, but that is what the instructions said. I did buy a better air line from NAPA, I think they called it commercial grade. But it isn't near as coiled so it seemed better. The hard part about not kinking it was once it was hooked into the guage and you push the guage into the pod, if it is kinked, it happened there.

Was it a softer line or a harder line? The line for my boost gauge is pretty stiff, but it would be very easy to kink a softer line.

My directions told me the same thing (again mine is a 6.0), but I frequent powerstroke.org, and checked with the experts on the location for the boost fitting. Check that site out, you'll love all the info, and the members are very helpful.

That's pretty normal for the pre-99 PSD. You're not going to see much over 15psi if it's mostly stock still.
