Ladies and Gentlemen out there, I have a plea for you.

This suggestion box item is not for the people who run this board, but for the people that USE it. There is a growing number of posts that are written completely in capital letters. I don't know what it is, but every time I see one of these posts, I have to restrain myself from using my moderator privlidges to edit or delete the post. I can't read these posts, they are simply a jumbled up mess of upper cases to me. I need variety, I need punctuation, I need small case letters and properly capitalized sentences and nouns.

Now, I've been known to write a message or two without capital letters. Somehow, this doesn't bother me as much... now if it was done with no punctuaion, well, might as well throw them alphas into a bowl of tomato soup.

Anyway... if you spot a keyboard with the little "caps lock" warning light on, do the right thing, be a true American and turn it off, okay?

This message has been brought to you by the good folks down at Sylvan Learning Center....

- Rif

yOU KNOW WHAT? IT DOESN'T BOTHER ME A BIT. I MEAN IT'S NOT LIKE WE ARE IN ENGLISH CLASS. DOES IT REALLY MAKE SUCH A BIG DIFFERENCE? DOES IT BOTHER YOU WHEN PEOPLE SPELL WORDS WRONG? DO YOU OFTEN POINT OUT GRAMATICAL ERRORS IN THE PAPER?

PS...IT ACTUALLY DOES ANNOY ME. BUT IT DOESN'T STOP ME FROM READING THE POSTS. THEY CONTAIN THE SAME VALUABLE INFO AS THE CORRECTLY PUNCTUATED ONES.

Back in the days of dial-up bulletin boards, speaking in all caps was like yelling. And this still holds true in todays world.

So please STOP YELLING AT ME!!!!!

Is it simply their lightning skills on the keyboard causing the error, or do they really not know how to spell it? Sure, the meaning is clear and what they have to say is useful, but that one word really deserves to be spelled correctly. Nuff said.

Grammar uber alles! graemlins/puke.gif

...and I can't count how many rigs I've seen listed in the paper that are being sold "with wench".

I always wonder - does she know??

My wench has pulled me out of several tough spots. (Of course the fact that she drives a Suzuki Sidekick 4x4 that we can hook the strap to helps.)

edit: Oh, and I wouldn't dream of selling her, she's a keeper!
