How do you save in Lightroom? I always just edit in PS then save it there, but I'd like to avoid PS unless I'm actually EDITING a photo.
TIA.

Make your changes then simply export it. Lightroom will always preserve the original so you can't "save" in it, only export.

Just curious, but why would you find a workflow system that preserves your original images "lame"?

I like doing it on my own I guess. Where does it store the originals? In LR?

Lightroom has a backup folder in your My Pictures folder by default. You can change that once installed. You can also set it to backup to multiple folders I believe.
While I preserve a copy of my originals on my own as a backup to the LR backup, I like the peace of mind in knowing that if I tweak it in LR I am not jacking up the original by mistake...even on a drunken Saturday night at 2am.

Defly. Thanks for the info. I was wondering where it was storing my photos.
