came accross this for the wireless link, i havn't tried it yet but it beats the $100 xbox adapter. microcenter has routers today for $7 fyi.

I share Crosscountry91 tag with my brother, we are both pretty good at COD4. He's better with submachines, i'm better with squad autos and snipers (although he's no slouch with a barrett). I've maxed the first prestige, i'm about ready for the second time through. There are 11 prestige ranks. Feel free to send a message, just tell me what forum you are from so I know who it is.

wait till you get high level... you will love the m14 and the m107 barrett sniper rifle.

I'm getting close to my first prestige. level 54 right now. I like the p90 for close in fighting but the m14 is awesome for more open maps. I'm not a fan of shotguns and i almost never snipe but i do occasionally. I tend to be an ambush type player, i wait in an area i know an enemy will be and use surprise. I'm also a big fan of flanking especially during hq games. There are lots of sheep players that regularly run through an area their team mate just died in only to suffer the same fate. If you are in an area they don't expect, like behind, you can just pick them off.

HQ is pretty fun, but I still enjoy good 'ol deathmatch pwnage.

I think crossfire, ambush and strike are my favorite maps, but I like others too. I'm also getting quite good at sniping on the cargo ship, which is quite an art as there isn't much open space from the upper decks. I love the satisfaction of hearing the claymores go click and hearing them die too. In my sniper kit, I always run with a pistol so I can have stopping power on, and immeadiatley ditch the pistol if there is a better weap available nearby. I love picking up a SAW or shotgun with the barrett because they are quite effective if you hear claymores but don't get the kill, or you see people approah your position and can't get a shot on them with the rifle. Just bail to the second weap and hide behind furniture to avoid grenades, and waste whoever comes in the door.

I really like the shotgun on vacant, and if you want to get up close and personal on the boat or somewhere like that. My all time favorite move is to waste people at point blank with RPGs, just for the WTF!!!!! factor.

one thing i absolutley hate is people throwing random grenades and people who just launch the nade launcher randomly. I was playing on vancant yesterday and was getting really pissed off, the other team was laying on the ground next to the dead bodies and every time you enter the hall you get capped and when you try to shoot them your already dead by the time you get the second shot off.

the lotto nades is the worst on the container ship. THat used to get me so mad so I just grab an SMG run to the other side adn then shoot em all in the back. Its rather effective.

ever since that day i played with you i've been getting my ass handed to me. I don't get it, i keep missing people hiding and constantly am getting capped. I think it's that stage where you do good for a while then suck super bad for a week or two, then you come back like a wild cat. (hopefully) lol.

The random grenades are a big PITA! There is nothing worse than dying due to someone throwing a grenade randomly over a building. Now if there is a UAV up there is some skill to throwing grenades but the randoms piss me off. There has also been a lot of 12 yr olds and racist on lately. I had a 12 yr old yelling at me the other day. I've never wanted strangle someone more in my life. You put these guys behind an xbox and TV and they think they are the big man.

I like doing lotto grenade launcher though from across the map. that takes a lot of skill and luck.

mute becomes your friend real fast. i learned that in halo3. since not much strategy goes on in TDM, i find no issue in muting annoying people. Its real fun late at night though when all the stoners and drunks are on, oh man that is just some fun times.

And slate im totally with you on that one. I haven' gone 48 and 6 since that night ha ha. I went into prestige again so i lost all my good weapons.

personally, I think the p-90 is like having an easy mode. I prefer a challenge. I do close quarters with a shotgun, run & gun with an m14, and mostly snipe with the barrett if the map lends itself to that. I guess I prefer having to pick my shots and knowing that it gets results.

I'm not above setting claymore traps, I love to hear a click and see +10 or +20 and knowing I'm free to continue blowing heads off from across the map.

BTW- the acog is now the most worthless scope ever, they ruined it in COD4.

nah the p90 is fun for just that. run around the map to the backside ( which is hard enough in itself ) and take out the whole team if you can. I like using the MP5 for that as well.

The G3 is actually a really fun gun I found out he other night while leveling up a bit. It is spot on accurate with little kick. I love it.

i have never used the acog, except on guns i pick up. hopefully they fix that, as with the sniper scope in the patch.

The thing i hate about sniping the most is the name that pops up when you are using your camo. I'll be hiding in a bush or grass and i know i'm blending in nicely. 15 sec later ... boom headshot. When i see how i died through the killers eyes, he was just scanning and my red name popped up. If it wasn't for the name, he wouldn't have seen me. Everytime i snipe, this happens.

hmm, guess mine is turned off. my bro always changes the settings to the point of annoyance. how do I turn it back on? also how the hell do I turn off the killcam when I play headquarters? I love it for deathmatch revenge killings, but in HQ it wastes spawn time and you get stuck in spectator mode if the capture happens while you are in killcam. nice of them to think about force spawning you and THEN locking you out. grr.

i FAWKING hate juggernaut specially when they have no skill and they get the LMG and just to town on you. Its wastes som much ammo when theres people playing with it.

Are any of you guys in a clan? I made a clan 303 <--- representin our home state! it seems there's a LOT of people on the east coast playing. We should all represent the 303 and get a TDM going with nothing but 303 on one team. Does this sound stupid? If so i'll go sit in my corner quietly.


I also wonder what CLAN is the best on the whole game? is there a way to find out?

I'm with you on 303, i'll add it in next time i play. (my guess sometime in the next few hours :D ) I thought about going with CSU to do a little representin' but 303 will work. If you ask me, it seems like more people are in a clan than not and i don't see too many repeats. There must be a lot out there.

I hate juggernaut as well. I just laugh when i see someone in prestige still using it. Its fine if you are just starting out with the game and a really low rank but its a very noob move. :tisk:

I'll sport the 303. Most people I see with a "clan" tag is just a tag. Most clans out there are non competitive. I was in a clan that competed in matchs for RTCW. that was intense!
