Hey figured I'd post out here. Been out of online gaming for a while but thinking of getting back in. Always more fun with people you at least know something of.

So is BF2 the ticket? Lot of people from this board in there? It's the only one I see a lasting thread on. Or have we moved on since 2005? :D

Team Fortress 2 is pretty new and popular. Call of Duty 4 is new as well. I don't find it near as fun as TF2 myself. Crysis is good too, not as big of multiplayer crowd I think.

COD4 or Rainbow Six Vegas...best multiplayer FPS games out there IMO!!

I like COD 4 more for the run and gun style and Vegas if you want to add a more tactical, cover based game.

First person run and gun is more of what I used to play and what I'm looking for. Half Life 2 was the last one I got into playing online a lot. Might have to check out COD4. Thanks!

I woulda tossed Halo 3 in there...but when you get right down to it, its the same multiplayer game you were playing 5-6 years ago... I get burnt out on it QUICK!

COD4 is definately nice on the multiplayer. Did a few maps this week. Real fast paced. Realized I need to brush up on my skills.

COD4 is amazing. Not your average halo but more realistic with the ability to call in air strikes. Very similar style to BF2 but no vehicles. More fast paced though than BF2. I've heard its the game of the year and i would have to agree. Single player has you sniping and firing from a heavily armed c-130 among other thigns. I was very disappointed with halo. The maps are almost the same as they were in halo 2 and there weren't any big changes in game play like there was from 1 to 2. Its the same game with marginally better graphics and a different single player campaign.
