Okay, I love having my Sammy in there, but I think it's about time for a new one. I'm starting to feel like Bob or something. graemlins/thefinger.gif There's alot of sweet rigs on this board that could replace it. Just a thought since my Samurai has changed quite a bit since it was put up there. Time to give up the honor. :D ~Steve

Agreed, and we tried to talk Rif into updating that some time ago. I just took a few minutes and updated it with a new rig smile.gif This will likely be the new format from now on (linking to your Reader's Rig page instead of generating a separate writeup) so we'll not only be looking for worthy rigs, but worthy writeups as well. Dave's writeup is a perfect example of what we're looking for. Also as Rif has mentioned several times in the past, please submit suggestions when you see a rig / writeup that we should consider for the front page. My apologies for the delay in upating the Featured Rig, I'll try to step in sooner and lend Rif a hand when he's unavailable.

Eric, I think that is an excellent solution. Again, sorry everyone that I've neglected the reader's rigs spotlight... my jeep has been seeing the same neglect... :(

How are the reader's rigs selected for rig o' the month? Just curious.

Now he rarely wheels ( graemlins/thefinger.gif ) and we've grown considerably so it's quite a task to review all posts in the Reader's Rigs forum. Thus lately we've shifted towards accepting nominations for the Featured Rig. If you've seen a rig in action and you've been impressed by its performance, construction, attention to detail, etc. let Rif or I know. The Suggestion Box works quite well for this as it encourages others to reply with their nominations. A recently added requirement is a complete and thorough writeup of your rig in your Reader's Rig profile. Our current Featured Rig is a perfect example of what we're after. Lots of detailed pics of the rig (not just a couple trail shots, show us the goods!) and a solid writeup to go with them. If you see more like this, let us know!

Actually Eric, I think yours needs to be up there at some point. I have been thoroughly impressed with your rig on the trail. Especially since it sees duty as a daily driver from time to time. I figured you could add a little write-up on how to properly shim the oil pump as well graemlins/thefinger.gif
