I'm just about done with my sled, but as i was putting my new gears in my chaincase i found out my chain is about an inch or inch and a half too long. Is there a way to shorten these chains, or do i have to buy a new one? thanks!

Wow, that's a lot of slack! I'm pretty sure that I've seen links removed on one, but for the life of me I can not remember exactly what was done. Might be time to searcht the Snowest forums on that one.

can you use a regular motorcycle chain breaker?

I called a couple places, and they said the best thing to do was to buy a new chain. They said you "could" shorten the chain but the links don't like to hold together after extended periods of time.

that's probably best. if not just pop a link with a chain breaker and then get a master link to replace it. that has always worked on dirtbikes for me
