Well the family voted and we have decided to change our hobbies so that the family as a whole will have fun not just me.
SO - We have purchased some ATV's
First is a 2004 Kymco 50 - Nothing major just seeing how the kids will do
Second is a 1987 Kawasaki Bayou 300 2X4 - Needs some work but nothing major, picked it up pretty cheap.
Third is a 2007 Yamaha Grizzly 350 - This is the wifes for right now but after riding this weekend I see that it will end up being my daughters and the wife is going to end up with something more like mine.
Fourth is my baby, it is a 2008 Yamaha Grizzly 700 EPS FI - This is a nice machine and I recommend this unit to anyone that is looking. My wife had some issues this weekend once we got into the rough stuff and I ended up riding hers, she loved this machine. The power that it has and the power steering makes all the world of difference with her. She was able to run that thing over rocks, up and down hills all over the place without any issues. I am almost positive that she is going to make me buy another one for her.
I am going to post my first riding trip next.

So does this mean that the Bronco project is dead?

So does this mean that the Bronco project is dead?
Yep - After 3 days of discussion and debate  . It was decided that the Rock Crawling and or Trail Rig idea was dead :( . I still have the Bronco and drive it everyday to work.
But, after actually going out this past weekend (see the other thread), I don't regret my decission at all :D . I think that I should have done this a long time ago :D .

I know these are factory pics but this is what I bought. And it looks like we will be getting another 700 by the middle of the summer. The wife loves the power steering.

My wife really enjoys the Power Steering on the 700 so we have decided to do some swapping around. She is now going to get the 700.
My daughter is loving the 4wheelers so much so that she actaully was upset this weekend when we were not able to go - That in turn she is now the owner of the 07-350 Grizzly.
My son will be stuck with the Kymco 50 for now - until he gets the hang of things and then I will consider buying him a different one.
But I have received approval from the Boss :hail: to have this:

ME + SPEED + AGILITY = DEATH
Been there, tried it and it scared me. Plus this is more for the family then me.

Totally. I am young so it is easy for me.
Although next year after my predator is paid off i am buying a Polaris RZR:D

It is kinda funny to read the reviews on the RZR vs the Rino. Even though the Rino out weighs the RZR by quite a bit they still do head to head with it. I am not a firm believer in the head to head reviews with racing. I like what the Grizzly 700 did with the other ATVs on the market. A true use test - rocks, down hilling, suspension, ground clearance, etc...
If I was going to race the RZR or RINO then the comparisons that I have read are ok. Plus I hear that anyone over 5 foot has comfort issues.
Oh and I don't like Polaris so that is another reason that I am a little bias to the Rino......
But in the end it comes down to use and prefrance.

I do like the look of the predators - but the new KTM sport quad looks way sweet. The RZR do have the look.

Yeah, i originally went in for a yfz or a rappy 700, but they got me a polaris card. And i sure as hell was not gonna turn that down! Then traded my crf for another one, that runs like a bat outta hell. but it was beat on suspension wise...

Picked up the new 08 Special Edition Grizzly last night. One of the best looking utility quads I have seen.

The RZR does pretty well Adam. Trey at my work has one...I got to drive it for an afternoon.....I didn't want to give it back. The noise inside the cab is a little loud, which is weird. The exhaust is very quiet when you are riding behind it or standing next to it. The comfort is next to a lazy boy....and it has beer holders...er I mean cup holders.
So are you going out at all this weekend? I was riding with some guy in PMI last weekend that had a 07 500 Predator. We had fun. He did state that the YFZ sure spit up a lot of rocks from behind....that is where he was most of the day.:D

Looks like you have a small fortune in quads....can't take it with you when you die!!!! My boss has a 700 grizzly...and I really like it. If I were to buy a 4x4 quad...it would be the 700 or 660 grizzly. They perform well.
Glad to see the whole family likes to do a fun sport. I wish I had the same interests in my family.

Chris - You don't want to know - I think if my wife were to stand on my shoulders we would still be in debt over her head.... Hahahahaha.....
Again - I test road a Arctic Cat - It was to heavy and bulky, although the new ThunderCat would be cool 900cc Vtwin, but it also carries a $11000.00 price tag. I test road a Honda Rubicon and Rincon - I liked them both they are good machines. I test road a Brute Force - man they are big - but very fast. But when I road the Grizzly with the power steering and all the four wheel drive features including the locker set up - I knew the one that I wanted.
Yes it is great that the whole family likes this new (new to us) sport. I have a feeling that we will be camping quite a bit this summer.

I think you will start seeing a few nice used ones around. Just make sure they have the air cleaner mod done....they have been blowing engines due to dirt particles. How are you going to transport that bad boy? Something else right now...the Forrest service has been giving the RZR guys a hard time. Trail limit is 50", and that is how wide the RZR is...they may hassle you a bit. They did this to my buddy with his RZR in Divide.
You know I am just giving you a hard time...maybe the guy with the 07 Predy just don't know how to ride.

I was thinking the trail limit was 48". But either way the FS is going to crack down on width, Which I think is BS !! Ya know Jeeps, FJs, full size trks,etc.... but ya know an atv over 48-50", well that would just ruin everything, What a crock-o-shat. Just my thoughts.

Took the SE out yesterday for her first ride. It seems that she has a little more power then the other one??????????? Not sure but it is easier for me to get the front wheels off of the ground. It was fun the wife and the kids had a blast.
