Help..... I have a furnace in my garage that decided to quit. The gas isn't kicking on now. The little exhaust fan kicks on, then I think the igniter start sparking but the solenoid never opens. I think this is a Lennox, about 6 yrs old.
I'm assuming I just need to replace the gas valve. Any ideas?

I kinda want to work on my build and cold hurts me.... Seriously, bad knees, hands and shoulders.
Thanks
Greg

DO you smell gas coming out when tring to reset the pilot light?

My dad use to do home residental stuff and from time to time just found out the people got their gas shut off. NOT That you did. Just saying.

It doesn't have a pilot light. Mule mentioned an spark ignitor.

My first reaction would be bad gas valve.

Thanks Jefe,
He came by last night and is looking for a gas valve for me today. I don't do furnaces... He found that the previous owner had busted the knob and taped a piece of cardboard over the switch to keep it on... The tape had come loose and kicked the valve off.
Good guy!

PS, Jefe, you should remember me from MHJC. Land use, public relations ect.... I bailed when I started getting backstabbed over the proposed bylaws and constitution changes I was pushing through. About 3 yrs ago.
I'm going to try and do a trail run with you guys when I get Frankenmule II done......

Yeah, lotta shit was f'd up around then. Things have change a bit since then. Alot of people left because of how things were being run and because the fun was being taken out of Jeep'n. Glad Dan could get you taken care of!! Hope to see Frankenmule II up and running soon!!
