I keep getting requests for baby pictures from family and friends. However I can't find a decent free online album solution. Right now I host using photobucket, but I don't like their option. Would flickr work? Any others? Im not looking to host a ton of shots, but maybe around 20 or so.

Photobucket IMO, is much better than Flickr and is about as good as its gonna get for free hosting.

If your looking for snazzy layouts and tons of options, pay sites are about your only alternative unless you have your own webspace and speak geek. Zenfolio and Smugmug are the better ones out there.

LGJ, I could host them for you if you want. Let me know...can make the gallery private and password protected for ya.

If you think you might want more than photobucket offers, give SmugMug a try. Use the code "yahoo" and you can get 50% off the first year.

Hmmm...better option...Google Photos. Free, lots of space and has a nice slideshow option.

Flickr is popular, but I found it cloodgy.

Oooh, thanks I hadn't thought of that.:hail:

However, Flickr has an API I can leverage. :D

I love SmugMug! Next in line would be Webshots.

I love flickr. Haven't had any real problems with it. Of course, I haven't played with the others ones, but with 2600+ pics online, I am happy staying with flickr.

I just switched to Shutterfly. Imagestation is closing shop and they migrated all my pics over for me. It's your typical free site, but I did like the feature where you can send your pics to any Target to get developed. That might be a good thing for the family members who want a pic to frame up!

Just me 2 pennies. :)

That's actually why I keep my photo's on my various google albums. Anyone can print photos from your public galleries and have them shipped from a couple of various places. I print my own here at home but it's nice to just have my mother or someone that is asking for copies go and do it on their own

I added a pretty long list of online photo hosting providers in the resources thread. Free, Paid...other.
