We haven't done a family pic for a while, so we went up Saturday to get one. Wound up taking 81 pictures of various things. Some came out, some didn't. I have some I want to retouch. Here are some that I like right out of the box...

Some nice shots!

When doing portraits with a strong or bright background, you might want to try firing the flash...it will bring out the subjects skintones alot more.

More specifically this one... http://static.flickr.com/2006/1501030045_7deb8d11a3.jpg

That was with the flash, otherwise it would have been WAY dark...

Hmm, alrighty...looks like you need an external flash then! :P

Thats easily fixable in post processing though.

Pretty sure I need to do something to isolate the foreground from the bright background before I start tweaking things. So much to learn about PS, glad I have books.

Thanks. Took a few tries to actually get him in the frame (I really want a camera with better fps), but we are happy with the end result.

I reworked the group shot a little bit...
Before:

After:

I used the Shadow/ Highlight adjustment in PS. Seems to have helped, or maybe it's just me.

Looks better...the leaves arent as blown out as the original and the faces are better exposed.

The important question is, did you catch anything and which water ;) Ok, at least did you catch anything????

Looks like a nice day on the water with the family.

I wasn't fishing, but the lady who was (no idea of who she is, just happened to be there) caught a SMALL brookie that looked more like bait. But if that's your style, this was on Bear Creek at Corwina Park.
