Yeah, mainly the new lens...RD will be hard for me to shoot cause I spend more time yelling and keeping my ass out of the way (sit on the floor on the caution line for the rink...skaters fly at ya a lot) than watching for pics.

Will go through and edit them later this week...took about 800 pics this weekend.

The pink guy is Prophylactic...he was selling the raffle tickets last night. My daughter was just looking at him like he was crazy. This was at the Bladium, other league plays at the Denver Colisuem.

Crazy fun!

All the shots were taking from my butt safely placed on the floor...imagine if I had stood up...

Wow, im kinda surprized to see how much output you got from the built in flash...especially considering some of the focal lengths! How well lit was the place?

The rink area was pretty well lit, the rest of the place was dark.

One of the girls sitting near us had a 580EX flash...very nice, may have to go on the christmas wish list :D

That was Prophy's helper for the evening...but that is a pretty good pic.

Having a ton of fun with the roller derby and love the fact they promote you bringing your camera to the matches.

I got a Sigma that I really like to, a 24-70. It has replaced my kit lens.

Thinking about picking up the Sigma 28-135 (think that's it) if I can find it at the right price. I need a good kit lens replacement.

The Sigmas are crystal clear and a great price.
