Bill Moore Lake with FSB Oct 6th

So me and 6Element (Josh), ran with the Full Size Broncos today on Bill Moore Lake. It was gorgeous day, but terribly windy. No breakage on my Jeep or his Jeep, but one of the bronco blew an alternator hose. Attempted to repair with a spare and blew another hose. I got to put my new setup to some real work playing on some rocks today. I've decided I need to cut the wheel wells out cause my 35s just stuff into the fender.

This is my first post in the trip reports on this forum. I was in the green bronco with the white cap. I had a real good time yesterday and enjoyed meeting a bunch of new people. I kinda liked the wind because it blew the dust off the road before I had to drive through it. But then again, you really needed to hand on to your hat.

You might want to look at some longer bump stops. You can spare the 1" or 2 uptravel.:thumbsup:

All the Bronco guys had a great time thanks to minesjeep, 6Element and 69scout n friend in the Cherokee. For the Bronco guy who is used to running with a bunch of jeeps it was nice to be part of the majority on a run.

I need to go back and bone up on "alternator hose" repair. Man, I just don't remember ever seeing one fail...........

I think you could fix it by rigging a bypass line. You'll need 3 in 1 oil, some gauze pads, and some antifreeze- preferably Prestone..........no, make that Quaker State.

I do believe there are diesel alternators that have vacuum pumps built in. Guess you might be able to call the hose an alternator hose.:flipoff2:

We did the Empire routr some of thse guys were rookies and did not want to pinstripe their trucks, from what I hear Red Elephant is kinda narrow in spots. I really want to try it dometime soon, I will just have to go with a bunch of skinny trucks, (know any?)

Do you drive I70/I76 for work in the mornings going east? I swear I see you everyday on my way in to Wheat Ridge. Hard to mistake those flares...
