I fly out of DIA quite a bit and im getting fed up with paying rediculous premiums for parking my car there. Long term, uncovered parking there is like 9 bucks a day...and i heard its going up again! And its not even close!!! All the airports i fly into have lots that seem like their 5-6 bucks a day or so and its usually not a 20 mintue hike to the terminal. WTF?!? Is there somewhere cheaper to park that i wont have to worry about coming back to a car minus 4 rims and tires?? I dont mind taking a shuttle or whatever for a little ride as long as its gonna save me some money.

I just used one recently that is off air-port parking. I think with their opnline coupon it was 5.99 a day. I'll look it up cuz I cant recall the name right now. . . . . .

EDIT:: Here it is (http://www.diavaluepark.com/) and it's 4.99 a day

You could always take the Light Rail to...oh, nevermind. Lack of foresight on RTD's part - took them ten years to add onto the original Mineral Station --> downtown track, and they are still decades away from heading out to the airport as so many other cities already do.

X2, Thats what I use. I Live out near DIA, and I will NEVER take a shuttle to/from the airport again. 20 bucks over 4 days for the park n ride versus 35 bucks + tip for a one way ride in the shuttle to the house.

Wait a sec...

Is the DIApark.com shuttle free??

The actual shuttle to/from the terminal is free. I travel light typically, so I dont tip shit. I see folks tip often enough, since the driver will load your bags on and off the bus.

I've been traveling about every 4-6 weeks to L.A. since March of this year. Usually leave on a wed nite/thursday morning, come back sunday nite. Lot has never been full. Usually have to look for a space though.

Its cheaper to fly, doesnt beat the hell out of my car and is faster...take me 15 hours to get where im going on an average trip by car...vs about 4 hours total time from airport parking lot to airport parking lot.

Plus, i can kick back, read a book, play on my computer or sleep.

Pikes Peak is the best way to go. Its a fair price and the shuttles are fairly quick. Unless I am running very late I park there. I only saw it full one time last year around the holidays.

I use USAirport Parking. I get a discount with AAA, and they have a frequent parking card that earns you free days if you travel a lot (I don't). It doesn't bring it down to $5/ day, but the staff is really pleasant, and the lot is pretty secure.

I travel quite often for work and always use Pikes Peak lot. The shuttles are usually pretty quick and parking has never been a problem for me there. I even got a spot in there at Christmas last year......

There are shuttles that pick up and drop off in the long term lots. I always enjoy the walk in and out, especially after being trapped on a plane.

I have never seen Pikes Peak full, there is always room there and the shuttles are pretty quick most of the time.

RTD Sky Ride. $6 each way from 120th & I-25. bus every hour to 40 minutes depending on time of day. Average time from 120th & I-25 (Wagon road Park N ride) to DIA about 35-40 minutes. Free parking at the 120th & I-25 park N ride.

http://www.rtd-denver.com/ Click on the skiRide link on the left.

You can also use the Airport Blvd & 40th ave park N ride. Theres 3 different RTD skiRide buses stopping there about every 20-25 minutes and gets you to DIA in about 15 minutes.

Skyride is too unreliable on the scheduling for my taste. Tried it once from the Airport & 40th park & ride. BTW that particular one is open as hell, and seedy types roam it enuff for my to NOT park my commuter beater there. I live at 48th & Pena more or less.... couldnt pay me to do anything else except the Pikes Peak lot anymore.

We always use the RTD SkyRide, parking is free and we get bus passes from work....

Never had a problem with the parking lot, use the Cold Springs one at 6th & Union. Also the best way to go downtown for dinner or a ballgame too.

FYI- if going to las vegas, fly out of Fort Collins. good parking, small airport, and best of all... Allegiant Airlines runs a charter out of there, $88 to vegas! I'm flying it tomorow, as a mater of fact. VEGAS BABY!!

I use them if flying out of DIA because of security. Or I park at the fairfield inn and take their shuttle. they have a decent rate for that if you are a Marriott business visa holder, like my parents are, lol. :D

The park N ride at 120th & I-25/Huron (Wagon road) is where I park everyday and take the bus downtown. The parking lot is HUGE and is ALWAYS busy and has security camera ontop most of the parking lot lights. There are always cars that I see everyday in the parking lot there for days and even weeks on end without ever moving. Just a month ago someone parked their car there and put a car cover over it and left it for 2 weeks. No one ever bothered it or took the car cover and it wasn't locked to the car either.

I have no idea what the park N ride looks like Airport blvd and 40th ave.

Now that would make too much sense, but boy that would be really nice.
