Fall Crop Report

Veggy garden was a big success this year again. Went out this morning to cut down the dead corn stalks. started picking some of the pumpkins and squash that found their way into the corn rows. damn things vine all over the place and not uncommon to find them 15-20 feet from were you planted them.

I'm still picking broccoli, peppers and tomatos. Last night I filled a bankers file box heaping with tomatos. I chopped, diced and puree'd them up into 4 one gallon freezer bags and left some out for putting on salads, burgers and whatever.

It's all grown up now, although not as big as I thought it would get.

theres still several others in there about the size of a softball up to basketball size. should be ready for Halloween.

I'll probably dig up the blue potatos today for making mashed taters for dinner tomorrow night.
