They were talking about this on 850 KOA just now.
What are your sports superstitions?
Things you do or wear or whatever to give your team that extra edge from the sports gods.
Come on now.. 'fess up. :)

Any time I bet for one of my teams, they lose. It's like the most sure thing in the whole sports world. Then, when I bet against my first instinct, they win.
I actually bet on Nebraska to kick the Buffs ass one year, and sure enough, Buffs smoked them.

I've been to dozens of St. Louis Cardinals games, and I've only seen them lose 2-3 times (in person). So I'd say, I'm good luck, they should pay me to go to games! :D

That would be bad if you were on a hockey team!

I've been to about 30+ Rockies games in the last few years. Of all of them that I attended, they'd only lost 2.
Too bad tickets are sold out this weekend and I won't be going. :(

after each beginning faceoff: cheers with beers(must be beer) and say "to the win"
in between each period, remove jersey, stand and stretch.
oh, and i will be wearing my unwashed peyton manning jersey again every sunday this year.

sort of an inside joke. That was Patrick Roy's tradition and he's known as one of the more superstitious players. He also used to talk to the goalposts.

Didn't know that but I think Roy's performance proves that superstitions are totally scientifical.

I always bet that there's going to be a lot of cute butts in tight pants. That's one gamble I never seem to be wrong on. At least with football that is.

When I use to play goal in hockey I would talk to the goal posts before every game asking them to be on my side. They say the posts are a goalies best friend.

My son is convinced that any game he goes to will be a loss for the home team. I can't remember the final score of the Broncos game we went to in '00, but so far he's been right:
Several Rockies games
Colo Mammoth semi-finals last year
Think he went to one o'them soccer games too...
So, the kid may have to be off my invite list if I ever get tix to another Broncos game! (just kidding if you're reading this, Andrew)

When I go to the Rockies games to watch Milwaukee (dressed in Brewers gear), Milwaukee *invariably* loses.
When I go to Rockies games to watch the Rockies they invariably lose as well, and usually in a huge way.
THIS DAY:

Was a 15-2 Rockies loss. To the GIANTS. In fact, that was the score by the 5th inning and my family made me (us) leave.
Should I wear Rockies clothing around tonight, tomorrow, and for the next few games? :P

I've fallen asleep twice during "Game 7". The first time, the Avalanche won the Stanley Cup against Florida, and the second time, the Rockies won over the Padres. I know it wasn't technically a Game 7, but when my team is on the verge of elimination, it's best that Scottycards goes to bed.
Steve- that bet is looking better everyday, but I just can't jinx my Buffs. I'll take the "W" over 10 scoots anyday.
