Hello all, thanks in advance for any help.

Heading to Ouray this weekend for a little wheeling over to Telluride. Wondering what the conditions are going to be like snow wise (we just had 2 days of snow in the higher mountains).

Also, what routes would you guys suggest, and estimated times?

Thanks,
ZG

We ran Imogene pass on Friday (4 hrs) and to the top of Engineers pass then back down to California Glutch/Pass into Silverton (5 hrs) saturday. It was totally clear no snow, but then again it rained like mad all sat night and sunday morning down there so not sure if it snowed up top. Times mentioned above include a lot of photo taking and just general messing around in no hurry at all, could have shaved at least an hour of time off each but why? All trails were absolutely beautiful!

Have fun!

Today's Telluride paper said that they have stopped maintenance on Imogene, Black Bear and Ophir for the season. They aren't gated off or anything, so you can still do them if you want. We did get some snow Saturday night and Sunday, but I don't know how much is up there right now. I can see Black Bear from my work, and it "looks" like most of the snow has melted from the Telluride side. Hope this helps.

I was there the 19th through the 22nd. Had a little snow on top of the peaks when we arrived, but it melted in a day. No effect on the trails at all. We cleared out on Sun morning when it started raining. Last time I was there was October of last year, and I was amazed at how much better condition the trials were in this year only a month earlier.

p.s. The fall colors are peaking right now. Should be a great trip for you.
