Alot of people out but I only know of 1 person that had a camera there... waiting for him to upload the pics yet.
As far as what happened about 10+ rigs showed up for the 10am start and I'm horrible with names so don't remember everyone. :( Sorry guys... It went pretty good. At the slick rock our group got split up because of some overheating problems on one of the rigs and the first part of us were blocking the trail so we went on.
I lost a lower control arm bolt going up a hill thank goodness for MN-XJ's quick eye for catching that one before I got launched up the hill. Luckily someone had an extra bolt and nut for a quick repair. There was a group of 8 some odd rigs ahead of us at the rock garden... had to wait an hour+ just for them to all get through it.
After the trail 7 of us went to the Buffalo bar place and Idaho Springs for some grub.... It was a long day, I made it home about 9:30ish... And first thing this morning I went and bought some new bolts & nuts for ALL my lower control arm mounts and some locktite. Just got finished with that... feel much better now.
Anyone else have anything to add??

Had a great time, but I think I'm still trying to remove part of my seat from my back side!!! That wheel stand had some puckerfactor for sure!! Where are the pics?? I think 2 people said they got some good shots....
It was a long day, but having good conversation with nice folks made the time pass quick. Sorry I couldn't make the evening at the Buffalo, but the wife needed to study for a big exam on monday so I had kid duty!!

Very nice to meet everyone, it was fun. Although, that was quite a long day, and now I remember why I don't do that trail too often. My jeep is definitely not comfortable enough to ride in for that long of a distance. I guess it didn't help that I took a wrong turn on the way out and came out Georgetown. Those switchbacks suck!
One more thing to add to the damage report: My front fender. Somehow it ender up under someones tire. Not really sure how that happened..... :cough: Jeff??? :cough: :flipoff2:

I will get my pics and videos posted by this afternoon. Sorry everyone as I don't have access from home I haven't been able to post all weekend.
I ended up blowing a relay on my puller fan after the first obstacle and overheated. Luckily I was in the last part of the last group. Only one Jeep passed me while I waited for it to cool down. The only other damage I had was a broken door handle after the rock garden.

Does anyone know anyone from the group that was between the 8:30 and 10:00 group, or if they are on this board at all? When we caught up to them they asked me if we were the Colo.4x4 group, so I figure one of them has to be on here. They had a coiled blue YJ with the TnT kit, a white yota on like 35's, and full size blazer (I think) in their group. Just want to see if they got any pictures as well. Seemed like a few of them were snaping quite a few pics on the 2nd or third obstacle right before the rock garden.

Was a fantastic day. Brought a couple friends with me that hadn't been to Spring Creek for a while and had an excellent day. My buddies caught up on some sleep while waiting for the rock garden to clear out. And I got some sun.
Other than the wait the day was all good. Nice meeting you all and wheeling with you.
Nora-just glad I saw your control arm before it was rendered useless. good times.

You've probably seen mine at Centennial. Exact same rig except with black wheels and no ARB. Are you one of the red XJs that parks near Mayo or IJet?
I was riding shotgun in the WK pictured above that day.

One of the more amusing moments of watching "the group" go through the rock garden was when the guy in the 4 door Jeep (Jake Blues?) pulls up to the first big rocks and stops. There were the about a dozen "volunteer spotters" pointing in several directions. He looked at them kind of puzzled, held both fists up in front of him with his thumbs pointing out in opposite directions and hollered "I can't turn that way!" :D

There were the about a dozen "volunteer spotters" pointing in several directions. Yah, I love it when 5 people try to spot for my husband & he ignores all of them & askes me which way he should go.
