Woke up long enough to watch the press conference.
Jr will be in the #88 Amp/mountian dew car for 08. Looks good but i'll need a whole new wardrobe. Wonder if my signature series monte is even more collectable or now a 4400lbs paper weight.

LAME :) 88 belongs to Dale Jarrett :flipoff2:
He should have taken 8.4 like he was supposed to, or gone with something new and original.

I've always liked Jr. Glad to see him on a winning team, now.
And since it IS all about the money, I'm glad to see him reap the rewards of filling that multi-million dollar merchandising pipeline again.
Kudos to Jr.

Lots of divers have run the #88. Jr will just be the next in line.

Besides I thought of it as DW's car over Jarrett's.

Ralph, Jr's grandpa used to run the #88. So there is history there. I think it's a great choice.
You did see the fairly horrible movie "3" (or whatever it was) on ESPN a couple of years ago, right? Actually, it wasn't too bad, just kinda low-budget.....
BTW- Gordon FTW this weekend.
Best part is that Starbreaker can now just get another 8 tattooed next to the one he already has, and be back on his game........:flipoff2: ;)

LOL!
I taped the actualy "DALE" documentary narrated by Paul Newman off of CMT. It's VERY good. Very touching. Can't wait for the DvD version. Heh. I knew a day like this may come when Jr changed his number so I never got a jr. tattoo.

Starbreaker-
Dude, your love for NASCAR is awesome. Anyone who is such a tremendous fan of any sport is OK in my book. I used to think I "got it bad" (remember the ads?, of course you do), but you REALLY have "got it bad".
Now you can get your tattoo, I think he'll stay with Hendrick for a long time. That is a winning organization, and they seem to operate with good ideals, from what I can tell. Jr will do very well there, as long as he takes care of his side of the street, by driving the wheels off those cars.......

And you forgot to add "puts Gordon in the wall."
Yea I got it bad. I have always been a gear head. I remember being as young as like 6 or 7 and on long road trips when we would slowly pass cars or rigs and watching the suspension move up and down thinking how cool it was. It's not just NASCAR I love all forms of automotive motor sports. About the only thing I can't stand is that drifting crap. I'd do just about anything to be around race cars for a living.. or hell as a hobbie. Kids my age drew football stuff. I drew race cars. This is the honest truth my first word was "truck".

Just a friendly reminder that Gordon is now alone in 1st place in the Chase after Sunday's race.

Next time the NOPI drift guys are in town- go see the event. Hell, I'll meet you there and buy you a ticket.
I couldn't stand it, till I saw it. It's friggin awesome. The "scene" is super lame, but those guys are fuggin' NUTS. It was fun to watch.

Seems to me the "scene" has a few things going for it...

Yes, we did stay for the bikini contest at the NOPI drift event a couple of months ago in Denver. I have a couple of crappy pics on my cell phone somewhere.
The "twinkies" were pretty hawt. Well, for about 1 minute they're hot, then they're just kinda dumb...........
