Colorado 4x4 Baseball Championship This Sunday in Parker

Some of you may have seen the threads earlier this year about the club baseball leagues in Denver.

Well, it seems the cream rises to the top, as we have mine and Jefe's teams squaring off for the Denver NABA 28AA league championship this Sunday in Parker at Double Angle Field at 9am. (can you say perfect, except the early start time)

Come one, come all, bring your little ones, to see my Black Sox (good guys and underdogs) vs Jefe's Nationals. (bad guys, and defending AA champs :flipoff2: :D ) The Nats swept our 3 game series this year, so the Sox have something to prove. It's the #3 seed vs #1.

Jefe is 24 on the Nats, I'm 72 on the Sox. It should be a great competitive game and fun to watch, plus the facilities in Parker are great fields. Come see what amateur baseball is all about.

I would like to be the first to congrat Schhhhhhhhhteeevo and the Blacksox. It was a battle all the way until the end. 2 early homers were the key to the Blacksox win. With poor umping behind the plate, the Blacksox lefty was able to use it to his advantage and hold us to 6 total hits and 1 run. They definitely came out with the want and desire to win their first 28AA championship. I ended up with 0-3, with a flyout, strikeout, and 1 base on error. Steve was swinging the bat well.

Man, was it a hard fought battle on both sides, and was a real baseball game. Final score was 4-1. One I will remember for my whole life. I totally agree w/ you on the umps. It seemed that Joe just had that little bit extra fire and control to take advange of that bs that was happening behind the plate.

Btw, I think our book has you a 1-3, it was a really high chopper, our ss didn't charge it , and you had a step on the throw.

And for the record, I did flyout to Jefe in left :D Damn me and my WTP, if that. lolers.

Overall we both win, playing ball is the chit, they took the division, and we took the overall league champ.

Cheers to the Nationals and Jefe, they play the game right, hard, and to the very last strike. They had a guy on base, and didn't go down looking. If you combined our teams, I think we could take on the f'ing world.... Maybe we should think about that for some of the big nat tourneys.

Haha, the funny thing is that they were left at my work by a dude that paid w/ an amex black card he never came back to get them. So I inhereted the ultimate baseball dorko outfield sunglasses from some millionare. :D Kinda wore em as a joke, then forgot to take em off for the photo.

C'mon yo, oakley fire lenses are where it's at in the outfield. :rolleyes: :flipoff2:
