Some sort of "Thread Subscription", etc

I was just thinking it would be nice to have the option to "subscribe" to threads. That would be an easy way to keep track of the threads we are interested in, etc. Sorta like the "Email Notification" thing, but as an option that would allow that to work even if we weren't the person to start the thread.

Does that even make any sense? It's been a long day! hehe

Or, is this already an option that exists somewhere, but I'm just not aware of it?
