ATV falls in Minepit

The brief newspaper article I read about the kids whose ATV dropped into a mineshaft got me to wondering, because it said they were near a road and that the hole was covered by brush. So that sounds like a worst case scenario for what can happen going off trail. Food for thought.

Not really, the kids survived didn't they? More people roll off of shelf roads and die then fall into mine pits while 4-wheeling I imagine.

At least one of them died, the 13 year old. I'm surprised both didn't as the shaft was something like 130' deep.

My bad, just saw it on the news this morning. I was thinking of the ATV/mine pit accident that happened earlier this summer and was thinking where did this thread come out of:shrug:
