Hey everyone, I'm planning a day trip this weekend and would like to know where a good hot spot is right now for trout? Would like to keep it within an hour or so of Denver.

Every year I always fish the Arkansas near Buena and have great luck. But for the day I was thinking of Lake Dillon or up near Granby on the Colorado R. Anyone else have any other suggestions now? Dry fly, lure, or bait is ok with me.

Thanks.

wolford mountain reservoir. hands down the best trout fishing luck ive ever had. its on hwy 40 past green mountain reservoir near kremmling. its worth the 1.5 hour drive from denver. when i went we caught limit each within a couple hours. we were pullin them in left and right, and after we each had two, we could be picky with what we kept. we had a feast that night. good luck.

Well then it is an absolute must that you drive up to Yankee Doodle lake on Rollins pass. Every time my caddis fly hits the water I have a rainbow. They also hit good on the bottom with samon eggs. Plus the drive up is beautiful and there is camping everywhere.
