This was about 3 times bigger then the Jenny Creek project I did last year. Jenny Creek was 700 fence feet & 90 posts, this one was ~2400 fence feet & 170 posts(I think).

Big thanks to Big Thompson 4wd Club for heading up this project!

The FS crews were out there earlier this week as well as other volunteers getting the holes dug with an auger and most of the posts cemented in the ground. The Big Thompson 4WD club adopted this project and were able to get all of the posts for free and had used cable donated to them from some oil fields where the cable can only be used so many years before it is removed.

Unfortunantely we ran out of cable, maybe only 1/3-1/2 of the project has been cabled. No pics of the cabled sections since I was working on setting posts.

Different project, I believe. Pictures above are LHC, Rising Sun article is at Jenny Creek. Still, excellent coverage and great to see so much effort from our community.

Well let us know if/when more help is needed with the rest of the cable. I couldn't get out to help this time, but maybe next time I can.

Ran it today (GREAT JOB BY THE WAY) ... Only one question though. Are the larger boulder going to be put back? Seems like the trails been tamed a little.

No idea, but I imagine that they were moved to get the backhoe in there and that as the trail ages, it'll get more difficult again.
