How many miles is that??
Barely over 600 miles :D
Are you gonna go?
Some of the bikes that go only have a 110-120 mile range so we all stop for gas around every 100 miles................gives everyone a chance to stretch their legs & relieve themselves.

Well, it went pretty good until we left Texas. We were into New Mexico, only about a half mile & a drunk bitch in a pickup lost control on the highway. She was passing us, veered off onto the median shoulder, over corrected & lost control. I heard screeching tires behind (right behind me) & saw it unfold in my mirror................a truck sliding sideways at 70 mph. There were 9 bikes behind me so I was thinking the worst is gonna happen.
Luckily, she only got one motorcyclist & it was minor. He nailed his brakes once he saw her right beside him & he was able to slow down to about 5 mph before she crossed his path. He hit her back bumper at that slow speed luckily. He had a little gash in his right shin from her bumper. He's all good now & wants his bike repaired so he can get in more riding before the good riding season is over. He's in good spirits. I'm sooooo thanks ful it wasn't any worse. We had a total of 13 bikes, she coulda taken out more of us & the severity could have been worse also.
Turns out, this is her 3rd strike for DUI. The Sheriff told us she'll most likely get 18 months in jail now. She was driving without a license because of her previous DUI's. She had spent 5 months in jail from her last one & she had only been out of jail 4 months before this one.
My buddy that got injured said he'll call the Sheriff next year to see if she's still in jail before we run this again. (he's making jokes about the situation)
Here's some pics of the accident. The Sheriff has his hand around her arm.........not to keep her from running away..........to keep her from falling down. When she took the roadside sobriety test, it was like watching an episode of COPS, she failed miserably.

Damm idiots. I hope that she does some serious time for that. In addition to her 3rd DUI, I suspect that she may be a habitual traffic offender, which will put that into felony status in Texas as well.
Warrlord, I am glad that everyone is ok and that 'overall' the trip was a success. If I didn't have prior commitments, I would have been along for the ride.
If you have any other pics you want to post up, please do.

Sorry, I don't have any other pics of the trip. I just found out today that there was insurance on the truck & they're paying for everything. So, his medical bills/ambulance bill & the bike repair will be taken care of so he's happy that he doesn't have to use his insurance & he gets his deductable back. And, oh yeah, she's still in jail awaiting her trial.

Hope they bury her under it...
