We've been in here since yesterday morning trying to induce. The baby got away again and flipped sideways... again - I guess she knows I'm a big fan of "Planes, Trains, and Automobiles". We're headed to the OR to take her out the front.

Darn it! Good luck with the delivery. My wife went till she was exhausted and then our boy was delivered C section.

The only positive about that was for me. I got to hold him first as they took care of her.

Hope all goes well. And, more importantly, congratulations!!

My kid was way breech and had to come out the front (butt first too). I stood up and looked over the curtain while his feet and torso were out but head still in - it looked like a scene from Aliens. Little 4.5 lb alien caming out all grey and grody. :D He puffed up nicely and mommy was no worse for wear.

It sucks having to go through a long labor only to go C-section at the end. It's like you get the worst of both worlds - all that pushing and contractions and stress and... now a scar and abdominal pain to go with it. :D My wife was lucky - they took her straight to the OR.

Good luck!!

The three of us together the first time - nurse surprised me with my camera.

Official weigh-in - only full shot of her so far.

As she gets used to the light, I hope to get a shot of these gorgeous blue eyes.

Ignore those wrong dates - the video camera batteries went during the delivery and I tried to borrow the rechargeable pack from the still camera.

Cool.... I just realized something why pink is girl color and blue is a boys. Both my boys were blue when they hatched... freaked me out.

I'll bet - oxygen deprivation is definitely something to be freaked out about.

Oddly enough, I was thinking about that same pink vs blue thing in the recovery room. Since she is SO pink, the lactation consultant said "she's pink! little girls should be pink", to which my response was "thank goodness my boy wasn't blue".

barfy: Nobody does titles for individual posts - I'm not surprised it was missed. I shouldn't have pointed out the previous data.

She held still and turned her head for the new jeep commercial. Probably just a response to me - I'm really angling to take her home topless, if we're released about 8 or 9pm, warm quiet night... roll home down backroads at 20mph?

Probably minivan.

 Part of me says, go for it! It would be a great story for her to tell later on.

Congrats on your little beauty! :D
