What's Brewing in Boulder is understandable closed until further notice due to the passing of the founder (and father of the only employee). This kind of sucks since they have good prices and are about a mile from my house...
Anyone know of any good HB stores nearby?

well, it appears the shop in Boulder is back open, albeit with reduced hours...but I can live with it.
New question...I am about to start kegging and my CO2 tank is on its way...where would I fill this thing?

At The Brew Hut! You will want to fill it at a reputable filler of CO2 tanks. I have heard that welding supply places are pretty cheap, but I have always filled up at The Brew Hut. I would assume the gas is the same wherever you get it. Check the yellow pages for welding supply, or ask at your LHBS.

I have always heard that there is Food Grade CO2 out there. I am not sure if there is a difference or not but hey, why drink oil in your beer?

does Brew Hut actually fill there or do they send your tank out to be filled? Might be worth a trip down there for a fill, but not two trips...

Food grade CO2 is a joke. You can get gas from any welding supply, and nearly all of them will fill it for you, or exchange it. I just exchange mine since I don't have a fancy bottle and it's faster, and you don't have to worry about the test being out of date that way. If you have a nice bottle you're going to want to have it filled though, and most will do it while you wait. I've gone to Linweld and to Airgas, and both had comparable prices and could fill while you waited. Last time I got it done at Airgass in Denver it cost me $18 I think for a 20lb bottle exchanged.

FYI...after much time wasted and phone calls made, which only served to distract me from writing my dissertation, John's 4x4 in boulder, of all places, fills CO2 tanks, $12 for 5#....the answer was right in front of me the whole time.
